Why you love to bellydance??

It is awesome to see so many people enjoy this art form. Every year the belly dance community gets bigger and bigger, it seems that everywhere I go I meet someone who is either studying belly dancing or already performing it. It amazes me to see the way this art form is growing. It seems like it was yesterday when I walked into that class room in my native country wanting to become a dancer... no one in my family understood why I choose belly dancing, but I was sure and confident on what I wanted.
Today, after 9 years of becoming an instructor, performer, producer and book author...I can definitely tell you that I will do it all over again!

When I moved to the United States I thought that I will have to put my passion in hold because of the responsibilities I had in a new country. I was so nervous and scared because I barely spoke English back then... But it was few months later when I was dining in a Greek Restaurant and got inspired by the dancer performing...She had long black hair, beautiful body, a white beaded costume, dark brown skin , and her eyes were beautifully shaped by the awesome make-up she was wearing.... It was there when I said to myself, "why I'm not performing? This is what I do, this is who I am".... A billion questions went through my head.... and there I decided that I had to get back to my real passion ..."dancing".

Today, I know why I love to belly dance and most of all I know why I love to share my passion with others.... my question is: DO YOU KNOW WHY YOU LOVE TO BELLY DANCE???

This passion that I have for dancing keeps growing every day and I always want to do more...I want to create, choreograph, perform, teach, and more...

I hope that God keeps blessing me with this wonderful opportunity to express myself through dancing, but specially to grow the ability to teach others... ;)

Tell me why you love to belly dance....

Blessings,
Nathalie

The Beauty of Dance

When I think of the most beautiful moments of my life, nothing compares to how wonderful it was for me to continue my dance career. Today with this wonderful life I have, I have unforgettable moments and I have met many wonderful people. In these moments I thank God for blessing me with the talent of my dancing, but above all things, for giving me the opportunity to touch the souls of others, and for the inspiration I get from everyone. I am convinced that besides the evil going on in the world, God has a plan for us all, and when we follow the plan with our hearts, nothing can stand in our way. I am grateful for the opportunity to produce, direct, create, dance, and even write such beautiful experiences. Today and always, I will continue dancing and carrying forward my plan, nothing will stop the passion I feel for the dance and for my work. I will continue to inspire others to keep following their hearts. But most of all, i will keep teaching my students to never give up.

Blessings,
Nathalie
